Bulgarian Split Squat Set Up
Sit at the edge of a bench or box with your front foot flat on the floor and your back leg extended straight out in front of you.
The spot where your front heel lands is your general foot position.
Stand up, then place your back foot on the bench behind you.
From there, keep most of your weight through the front foot, lower straight down into the split squat, and then press through the front foot to return to standing.
