Squat Bounce

Instructions

  1. Stand with your feet about hip-width to shoulder-width apart.

  2. Bend your knees and hips to lower into a squat.

  3. Begin making small, quick up-and-down bounces without standing all the way up.

  4. Keep the movement short and controlled.

  5. Press through your feet evenly as you bounce.

  6. Continue bouncing while staying low in the squat.

Common Compensations

  • Do not let your knees cave inward.

  • Do not round your back.

  • Do not rise all the way up between bounces.

  • Do not bounce so low that you lose control.

  • Do not let your heels lift if the goal is to stay grounded.

Extra Info

  • You should feel your quads, glutes, and calves working.

  • You may also feel your core helping you stay stable.

  • You should not feel sharp pain in your knees, hips, or back.
